Hello! I'm Danielle Moss, a proud mom to Margot, Kate, and Jack, a content creator, and the founder of several projects. I grew up in Los Angeles and made my way to Chicago in 2010. Not long after, I started The Everygirl and The Everymom. I met my husband, who is a realtor, on Tinder, and we tied the knot in Paris. After that, we renovated a charming vintage condo in downtown Chicago before relocating to the suburbs. A year into parenthood, we co-founded Anecdote, which was recognized as one of the best stores in America by House Beautiful.

When we bought our home, the bathrooms came straight from another decade. Dated tile, old wallpaper, worn fixtures, and finishes that had seen better days. It was time for a full bathroom renovation, not just for aesthetics, but function, too. We needed all new plumbing and completely transformed the space to feel fresh and clean. We finished the work a few months ago, but it took a minute to really finish everything. I sometimes get stuck on the finishing touches, but it’s done.

My June Amazon purchases included a little tech, stuff for the kids, and a few things for the garage since we had it repainted this week. The new flooring going in tomorrow morning and I am so excited for a clean garage! I don’t do Amazon fashion, so you’ll never really find that here. I buy the kids’ organic underwear on Amazon, but it’s not an Amazon brand. This month, I bought a few crates to organize the garage, a couple games, and the coolest sensory bin/snackle box.

As a mom of two summer babies born in late June and early July, I know how stressful it can be worrying about keeping your baby safe during summer heat. And my son was born in April, so by the time it warmed up, he was only a few months old. New parents worry about everything, but keeping them safe in hot weather is about so much more than comfort. There’s so much pressure to get it all “right,” and something as simple as choosing an outfit feels like a major decision. And it kind of is.

As a liberal, I am having a very hard time thinking about what this country stands for right now, especially when so many people’s rights and freedoms are being debated or taken away. It doesn’t feel like a time to celebrate, but this is a special time of year for our family. My girls’ birthdays are right before and after the 4th, and they look forward to the fireworks all year. The day gives us a chance to really embrace summer — to grill, be with friends, and watch fireworks light up the sky.
