A couple is behind bars after police found a 3-year-old child that had been dead since January. According to Scott County Sheriff Mike Lee, Kierra Patrick and Rodkis Fenderson have been charged in the death of Fenderson’s son, Zhymir. Lee said an investigator had a conversation with someone who mentioned they hadn’t seen the child in some time. While Zhymir had never been reported missing, the investigator began looking into it.

Jackson Police Department is looking into the death of a 51-year-old Jackson man. According to JPD, Steckie Black was found with multiple gunshot wounds after officers responded to the 100 block of Savannah Street around 12:02 a.m. Black was pronounced dead at the scene. Following an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident, law enforcement has identified a suspect in the case. A warrant for murder has been issued for 47-year-old Charles Mack.

Lincoln County has one missing person, and the conversation surrounding him is a heated controversy. Jonathan Estes went missing in 2018, a few days after a May 31 fight with his estranged wife. The wife claimed he had assaulted her, and police went to question Estes on June 2 and couldn’t find him. Estes’ truck was found, which was in his wife’s name, was found parked few weeks later in a field. Authorities said Estes had put the truck there and told a friend where it was.

He was last seen wearing a black tee shirt, green jogging pants, and black and gray shoes. Thomas may be walking with a limp due to an injury to his right leg.
