  • Aug 29, 2024 | disneyrollergirl.net | Tilda Swinton |Hades knitwear

HADES just teased this killer collab on Instagram. A teeny tiny capsule collection of four knits, three skirts and two scarves co-designed with Tilda Swinton and “inspired by Tilda herself, as well as four films from her filmography: Female Perversions, Last of England, Orlando and Suspiria”, it’s a great example of the niche HADES has carved celebrating cult artists and musicians in the medium of clothes. The shapes are simple but contemporary and all pieces are made in England and Scotland.

“The first person to ever write about Spike Lee in the paper was me. Spike cold-called me at The Voice one day….It was his school project. It was genius.

  • Mar 13, 2024 | disneyrollergirl.net | Hedi Slimane

Still a bit gutted that Hedi didn’t end up at Chanel. Ah well, Celine’s gain. Nothing crazy new to see here but his brand of retro-modernism for Winter 24 (just teased in a film) looks contemporary and cool – yet surprisingly un-grungy – in the way only Hedi’s can. It’s the high-shine block-heeled riding boots and shrunken turtlenecks for me…What is new is the launch of Celine Beauté, starting with lipsticks. Who needs a new lipstick line? Clearly no-one. Apart from me, I guess.

“It’s a gesture of respect for yourself and those around you. The momentum has been building since the world emerged from pandemic isolation, cycling out of comfort clothing into confusion, tugged toward the allure of the recent FX series about Capote’s “Swans,” and the erstwhile rituals of dress.

  • Feb 14, 2024 | disneyrollergirl.net | Miuccia Prada

UK Vogue had 40 celebs on its cover, but US Vogue has Miuccia Prada. I know which one I’m more thrilled about!TBF, I don’t get excited about Vogues these days, but I do love a Miuccia profile. The cover is fresh and casual and of course I’m loving the inside shots of Mrs Prada (as she prefers to be known) in her uniform of prim skirt, boxy short sleeve knit and trademark slither of white tee to uplight the face.
