It’s been a long time coming for whiskey enthusiasts and producers alike, but the TTB—the US government agency that regulates alcohol—has officially recognized the American single malt whiskey category. After a years-long fight for a formalized definition including petitions and comments submitted by distillers, the American Single Malt Whiskey Commission and others, the TTB finalized the standards of identity for the category with a formal announcement.

After 10 years of aging in new, charred American oak barrels it's bottled at 80 proof. First announced in December 2018 as a limited edition annual bottling for the holidays, as of fall 2024 it is a permanent addition to the core portfolio with availability year-round.

Made with 100% unpeated malted barley (combo of Scottish mainland, Islay and organic barley), each varietal and harvest is completely traceable. Distilled in 2004, the whisky was matured on Islay primarily in ex-bourbon along with some Sauternes and port casks.

Belvedere Vodka

It is distilled using a four-column still process. Belvedere uses water drawn from wells situated in the grounds of the distillery to bring it to proof and then charcoal filters the vodka prior to bottling. The brand's name means "beautiful to see".

This Immaculata bottling is made with a base of 15 year-old bourbon and is presented at cask strength. Depending on the batch, that will range from 115-120 proof. It's bottled without chill-filtration. Available as of July 2023 in limited quantities.
