Malt-review
Malt stands out as one of the most prominent whisky blogs globally. While our main focus is whisky, we have expanded our coverage to include a variety of other spirits over time. Malt isn't defined by a single voice or viewpoint—our editorial process is minimally controlled. We are a group of writers from various backgrounds, each bringing unique perspectives on what defines a great whisky. We engage in lively discussions, both with each other and with others in the industry. Our content includes thoughtful critiques, as we aim to share a range of opinions that reflect our diverse experiences.

Greetings from your resident booze bibliophile. America is rich with distilling tradition, but that story usually gets told through the lens of Kentucky and Tennessee. While it’s true that Kentucky and Tennessee have most of the lore, other regions of America have a rich history as well. I always find it fascinating to get more of the full picture by learning about other regions of the country, such as the Pacific Northwest.

Greetings from your resident booze bibliophile! In my quest for knowledge, I’ve read an ungodly number of books on American whiskey and beverage alcohol history. Greetings from your resident booze bibliophile. I love spirits of all sorts and books about spirits of all sorts. My drive to learn all that I can about the beverage alcohol industry and its history has led me to complete over 450 books on the topic. Most of my focus has been on the American beverage alcohol industry; I’ve admittedly not done much book diving on world whiskies that involve peat. My knowledge of peated whisky is far less than my knowledge of bourbon and rye.
