Doctors Without Borders/ (MSF)

Doctors Without Borders, also known as Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), is a prominent independent global medical relief organization. It operates and oversees medical projects in nearly 72 countries around the globe and is comprised of a collaborative network of 25 associations, 24 sections, 17 offices, and 6 operational entities. Our primary mission is to deliver emergency medical and humanitarian aid. We are committed to the principles of independence, neutrality, and impartiality as outlined in the MSF Charter. Our medical programs are deployed in regions lacking health and sanitation systems or in areas where local healthcare is overwhelmed by urgent needs. For the past 50 years, we have been dedicated to assisting individuals affected by armed conflicts, natural disasters, disease outbreaks, malnutrition crises, and various other emergencies. We provide medical and humanitarian support based solely on the needs of individuals, without consideration for their race, religion, gender, or political beliefs. We maintain neutrality in conflict situations and uphold impartiality based on medical ethics. To preserve our independence, most of our funding comes from private donations made by the public. We may also receive additional support from foundations, governments, and international organizations.
