A string of layoffs over recent months is set to continue for Jeld-Wen Inc., as the company prepares to release 56 workers from its facility in Dallas County, Texas. The door and window manufacturer filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) in March, with layoffs set to occur April 28. [DWM] has since confirmed that Jeld-Wen will end operations at the doors plant in Coppell, Texas, and move production to other existing facilities.

The closing, which is set to take place in early June, displaces 397 employees. The United States Department of the Treasury issued a ruling this past Friday, narrowing the existing beneficial ownership information (BOI) reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA). The Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network’s (FinCEN) interim final rule (IFR) states that only foreign reporting companies must report BOI. Companies defined as domestic reporting companies are exempt.
