Droneblog is a go-to resource for anyone interested in drones, whether you’re a beginner, an aspiring professional, or just curious about the technology. We provide both inspiration and practical advice to guide you on your drone journey. Our Journey Vali and Elizabeth, a husband and wife duo, launched Droneblog in 2014 as drones began to gain popularity. Vali recognized their potential to create significant change, and with a shared enthusiasm for domain names and drones, they set out to create a blog. Initially, they faced challenges, as neither had experience in blogging. They gradually built Droneblog using interviews, press releases, and guest contributions, which helped establish a brand but didn’t fully realize its capabilities. In October 2020, they decided it was time to take Droneblog to the next level. They committed to learning the ins and outs of successful blogging and completely revamped the site. This overhaul involved significant rethinking, restructuring, and refining of content. Vali now handles marketing and design, while Elizabeth focuses on producing the majority of the content, with some contributions from guest writers.

Knowing where you can safely and legally fly your drone is surprisingly difficult. Sure, you bought your first (or fifth) drone, got your TRUST certificate, or maybe even your Part 107 certificate, but after flying in your backyard for hours, you are eager to find new locations near you to practice flying. Or maybe you are traveling to a new city. So what do you do? Of course, you start with a Google search: “Where can I fly my drone near me?” Then, you check B4UFly for uncontrolled airspace.

Hey, welcome to my review of the DJI Avata 2. I was lucky enough to get one of DJI’s pre-release models of the Avata 2 to test and share my findings with you. While I never personally flew the original Avata, I do have experience with some other entry-level cinewhoop-style drones as a baseline comparison. Not surprisingly, the Avata 2 is in another league altogether. After a few flight trials, I find that the DJI Avata 2 has an awful lot going for it, and just a few things that give me pause.

The only barrier between us and a dronepocalypse is the controllers controlling these drones. Eh, no, I’m joking here. But without these controllers, we wouldn’t be able to fly our drones, right? And yet, manufacturers build these radio transmitters with different drone compatibilities.

Holy Stone drones are cost-effective, beginner-friendly, and fun to fly. Whether you opted for a beginner model like the HS420 or chose something more advanced such as the HS720E, naturally, the first question you’ll have after you get the drone out of the box is how do you fly it? While the instructions can vary somewhat from one Holy Stone drone to another, the basics are the same.

In the world of drones, not everyone seeks the best ones with high-quality cameras, long transmission range or flight time, and many intelligent functions. In fact, some of us may be seeking some simple drones to have fun, probably categorized as toys. Perhaps something even a kid can use, and that requires no registration. We’re taking that path today by reviewing the Potensic Firefly A20 mini drone with everything you ever need to know about it.
