A 34-story residential building is set to replace a low-rise slated for demolition, according to city records. A report by Crain’s New York Business revealed that Skyline Developers, a firm established by Orin Wilf in 1999, this week filed permits with the city’s Department of Buildings to construct a new dwelling at 185 East 80th Street (between Third and Lexington avenues). Currently the site of a four-story mixed use building, Skyline wants to erect a 508-foot tower that includes 66 units.

NYPD officials have issued an alert about a robbery which took place last month on the Upper East Side. Police are hoping someone from the general public will be able to assist them in identifying and locating the wanted individuals. According to the police report, two unidentified individuals entered Bloomingdale’s at 59th and Third Avenue at about 1:12 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, removing approximately $6,540 worth of clothing.

Shwkulata is located at 415 East 70th Street (between York Avenue and First Avenue), a cozy space with a few counter seats by the window. A sizable chocolate fountain by the register greets customers.
