Editorialist

Editorialist is a biannual publication created by the e-commerce site of the same name. It was established on February 5, 2014, by Kate Davidson Hudson and Stefania Allen, former fashion accessories editors at Elle. The first issue showcased Nina Agdal on the cover, just a week after her appearance on the cover of the 50th-anniversary Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. This launch coincided with the release of a bimonthly magazine from competitor Net-a-Porter.

Miu Miu bags are having a moment. The brainchild of Miuccia Prada, who created the brand in the vision of her own girlhood and what she would have wanted to wear through those formative years, Miu Miu itself is a youthquake of a brand, the coquettish little sister of Prada. Its accessories share a lot of the same DNA, just with a jovial twist and an unseriousness that feels fresh amongst a rather rigid, minimalist moment in fashion.

Few names in fashion are as closely associated with effortless style as Jane Birkin. Her undone French-girl je ne sais quoi—equal parts insouciant and intentional—helped redefine the style codes of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s and cemented a way of dressing that still defines how we get dressed today. Jane Birkin style lies in the beauty of nonchalance.

When in doubt (or faced with hair beyond saving with dry shampoo), the slicked-back bun is your most reliable look. Hair sprays and pomades can help get you there, but the best hair wax sticks are styling game-changers for keeping things soft and sleek. The difference is in both the delivery and the formula. A chubby stick makes application fuss- (and frizz-) free, and the waxy texture is key to creating a smooth grip that holds without that dreaded hard-shell or flaky effect.

Audrey Hepburn was a once-in-a-generation style icon. Her prim, proper little black dresses, lady bags, and pearls are seared into the collective memory of billions of people, with designers and celebrities alike striving to channel her on runways and red carpets a century later. It's no secret that her onscreen style and personal style were irrevocably intertwined—it's hard to say exactly which pieces feel truly Audrey and which were, say, Holly Golightly.
