    Globally diversified metals and mining company South32’s subsidiary, Samancor Manganese, has completed the divestment of the Metalloys manganese alloy smelter to Menar Capital-owned entity Khwelamet. The transaction was completed on June 3. Samancor is 60% owned by South32, and 40% by global miner Anglo American. Khwelamet is indirectly owned through a joint venture between Menar and Ntiso. Menar is a resources investment business with interests in coal, anthracite and manganese in South Africa.
