Estevan Mercury
E.A. Bailey established The Mercury in the summer of 1903, marking its beginning in the same year that the Wright brothers ventured into powered flight. In 1905, Donald Dunbar acquired The Mercury as the town began to develop a more settled appearance. The original location of The Mercury was on the north side of Fourth Street. It later relocated to 12th Avenue North and eventually moved further south on 12th Avenue, situated just behind the current CIBC bank. During its early years, one of The Mercury's buildings was lost to a fire.
