BlackRock has expanded its active fixed income range with the launch of US dollar and euro corporate bond strategies. The iShares $ Corp Bond Enhanced Active UCITS ETF (USEB) is listed on Euronext Amsterdam while the iShares € Corp Bond Enhanced Active UCITS ETF (EUEB) is listed on Deutsche Borse, both with total expense ratios (TERs) of 0.20%. USED is actively managed using a systematic process that blends quantitative models with the investment manager’s analysis.

Amundi will liquidate a trio of ETFs as part of its ongoing “product range maintenance process” including the multi-strategy smart beta fund with which it entered Europe’s ETF market. The Amundi Index Equity Global Multi Smart Allocation Scientific Beta UCITS ETF (SMRU) will cease trading on 16 January. The fund, which tracks the SciBeta Developed Multi-Beta Multi-Strategy ERC Net Return index, was Amundi’s first ETF in Europe.

State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has launched a trial of its proxy voting choice programme for its $9bn MSCI world ETF. In a shareholder notice, SSGA said it would launch a pilot programme – expected to last one year – which will give shareholders of the SPDR MSCI World UCITS ETF (SWRD) the option to choose how their proxy votes are cast. Investors will be given the option to either choose a voting policy that aligns with their views or rely on SSGA to vote their shares.
