Pineau’s Tumbling and Trampoline (PT3) recently traveled to Mesquite, Nevada for the final state qualifier, and the team had an outstanding showing under the guidance of coaches Trinity Anderson and Jody Young. A total of 11 athletes qualified for the upcoming state competition.

The Carbon boy’s tennis team traveled to Delta on Thursday for a match against the Rabbits. The two teams met back on Mar. 15, where the Dinos swept the Rabbits, 5-0. Nicholas Bryner continued his season with another win in 1 Singles. The first set was a tough battle, ending with Bryner receiving the close win, 7-6. In set two, he kept the momentum going, winning 6-2. Next in 2 Singles, Memphis Howell was successful in defeating his opponent in two sets. Winning set one (6-2), as well as set two (6-1).

The Carbon boys’ volleyball team traveled to Draper for a match against the Juan Diego Soaring Eagles on Thursday for a region matchup. The two teams met a few weeks prior in Price, where the match went all five sets with the Dinos coming out on top, 3-2. This time around, staring in the first set, Carbon had a dominant performance. Ending the first set with the 25-11 win. In set two, Carbon was successful again, winning 25-17.

The Carbon soccer team made their way to Nephi for a match against the Juab Wasps. The first meeting back on Mar. 14, resulted in a 4-1 victory for the Dino squad. The Wasps came into the match with a 6-3 region record and the Dinos were sitting at 8-1. The first 40 minutes was a battle against the feisty Wasps, with neither team able to get the ball past the opposing goalkeeper. In the second half, the story remained the same, with excellent defense on both sides.

The Carbon Lady Dinos made their way to Mt. Pleasant for a game against UHSAA’s number five ranked team in 3A softball. Carbon was sitting with a 3-3 region record and the Hawks were perfect at 6-0 in Region 12. The game began with two scoreless innings by both teams, due to some great pitching. In the top of the third inning, Carbon was on base quick as Aleece Ardohain was walked, followed by stealing second base soon after putting her in scoring position.
