The farm owned by Marcia and Glenn Hupp. This farm has been in the family for 108 years and is located close to Libertyville. The family first purchased acres of farmland in 1916. This is the twenty-fifth-month that the Carnegie Historical Museum has been highlighting the farms in Jefferson County which have been recognized as being in the same family for 100 or 150 years plus.

Last week, the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors accepted the resignation of the County’s Ambulance Service Director Brian Thomas, and appointed Judy Hiesel as the interim director. At that time, the board could not decide whether to increase Heisel’s salary from $65,000 to $85,000 to match the salary of the former director. It was decided today not to increase her salary due to the main difference in the rolls being billing and budget restraints.
