Family Research Council

The Family Research Council (FRC) is an evangelical activist group and think tank based in the United States, which also has a lobbying arm. The organization advocates for what it defines as traditional family values. The FRC actively opposes and campaigns against issues like access to pornography, embryonic stem-cell research, abortion, divorce, and rights for the LGBTQ+ community, including anti-discrimination laws, same-sex marriage, same-sex civil unions, and adoption by same-sex couples. The group has faced criticism from various media outlets and professional associations, including the American Sociological Association, for promoting what they describe as "anti-gay pseudoscience." Critics argue that the FRC inaccurately links homosexuality to pedophilia and claims that children raised by same-sex parents have more mental health issues.
