You may have heard the saying that attitudes are contagious. I think all firefighters would agree this is an accurate statement. When we start our shift with a negative mindset and attitude, those around us quickly fall in line with this same attitude. If it occurs repeatedly, shift after shift, the entire crew becomes negative, and it creates a downward spiral, sucking in the entire station and perhaps the entire organization.

Clarksville Fire Department Chief Brandon Skaggs said the structure fire was called in at around 6:30 a.m. in the 700 block of W. Harrison Avenue. Skaggs said firefighters encountered heavy flames and smoke and a report of a possible rescue of someone inside the duplex.
