To Paris Powell, Muncie feels like home. He was born and raised in the town before moving to Anderson when he was 13 years old. He later relocated to Port Charlotte, Florida. In July 2023, however, Powell returned to Indiana to attend a Back to Muncie Festival, which is celebrated citywide by all cultures. Sadly, following the celebration, there was a mass shooting in the area of South Hackley and Willard Street that resulted in multiple injuries and one death.

I really had a vision of what it could be and wanted to create an experience for customers,” Stone said.

Header image by Robert JonesIf you’ve ever stayed in an Airbnb or VRBO rental, you’ve likely spent several minutes figuring out the lights — which switch goes to which room or lighting source. In homes with open floor plans, it’s not uncommon to see four or five switches to control three connecting rooms. In the past, we’d break out the masking tape and mark which switch worked for what, right? Tom Cox and his son, Chris, have an alternative for this.
