More than half (57%) of motorists back the introduction of graduated driving licences (GDL) to help newly qualified drivers gain experience safely. Research commissioned by Bridgestone also found that 50% think a ‘recently passed’ sign should be displayed for up to 12 months after passing as part of a GDL scheme, and a further 50% support a one-passenger limit for new drivers during their first year.

A new project that uses real-world information to bring more certainty to expected lead times for fleets booking service, maintenance and repair (SMR) is underway at Epyx. The programme uses historical data to ascertain the actual lead times achieved during the last 12 months by garages and other SMR suppliers through the 1link Service Network platform and apply these to new bookings.

The leasing firm’s 2025 EVXperience report surveyed more than 3,600 drivers on their lived experience driving an EV, with the report finding that 80% of drivers usually charge their vehicle off-street at home.
