The Wave capped off their second season in their franchise's young history with their first piece of Silverware, as they finished top of the NWSL table at the end of the season, winning them the NWSL Shield. However, their season ended the same as it did in their inaugural season, losing in the Semi-Finals of the NWSL Playoffs.
