Pulwama: Police officials in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a militant associate on Tuesday, seizing 10 grenades. A police spokesperson said the arrest followed intelligence of a potential militant attack in Pulwama town. A joint checkpoint by Pulwama SOG, 55RR, and CRPF 182Bn was set up in the evening on Pulwama’s Circular Road. During checks, Danish Bashir from Dangerpora, Pulwama, was stopped while travelling on a scooter.

Budgam: More than 15 CRPF personnel were injured in a road accident in the Pakherpora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday morning, officials reported. According to reports, the vehicle veered off the road and fell into a gorge near the Khaygam crossing in Pakherpora. The injured personnel were immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries is yet to be confirmed.
