A couple of popular Fresno State summer camps still have space for additional enrollment, giving youth a chance to learn and have fun this summer while experience the Fresno State campus. College of Science and Mathematics — Summer Academy in STEMFor children in grades 4 through 12, this camp offers three sections:Elementary school STEM concepts: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 16 to 20, youth ages 9-11. Middle school STEM concepts: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 16 to 20, youth ages 11-14.
Fresno State students dedicate spring break to community service

Fresno State students will dedicate a portion of their spring break (April 14–16) to hands-on service through Alternative Spring Break. Participants will work at three community sites, tackling meaningful projects that support local organizations. Service projects and locations:Scout Island Outdoor Education Center (7695 N. Vintage Days features new foods, attractions, entertainment on campus

While the Vintage Days spring festival remains one of the longest held traditions on the Fresno State campus, each year offers a new twist. This year, it’s the new Dave and Buster’s Fun Zone, which will include inflatables, a ferris wheel, a rock wall, a zip line and a spider jump. Vintage Days is a free, three-day festival running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 11 and 12, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 13.
Community support lifts Fresno State’s Day of Giving results to a new record high

Preliminary final results for Fresno State’s March 26 Day of Giving show that community support for the Central Valley’s flagship institution reached a new all-time high, with gifts totaling $615,879, a 30.6% increase over the last Day of Giving in November 2023, and surpassing the previous record of $550,366 in 2019.

The Student Health and Counseling Center will be closed Monday, March 31, reopening at 8 a.m. Tuesday, April 1. Growing up in the city of Surabaya in East Java, Indonesia, senior culinology student Kaylin Prayitno started dreaming of attending Fresno State at the age of six when she saw Fresno State memorabilia around the house. Both her father, Winata, and mother, Merlinda, attended Fresno State and graduated with degrees in information systems and finance, respectively. That led to her first visit to campus, over 8,500 miles away, when she was in junior high school.

The College Assistance Migrant Program and the Cross Cultural and Gender Center will present the annual Cesar Chavez Commemoration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the Peace Garden. This celebration will include music, performances, prominent speakers and a resource fair featuring more than 25 organizations. California Water Institute names director
