In commemoration of Memorial Day, which honors the men and women of the United States military who have died, the Fresno State campus will be closed on Monday, May 26. Per the recommendation of the U.S. Flag Code, university flags will be posted at half-staff until noon and raised for the remainder of the day. All campus offices will be closed on May 26. Spring intersession classes are not scheduled to meet on Memorial Day.

Fresno State will award honorary doctorates to three individuals this year — educator Ron W. Goode, corrections department professional Danielle Lopez and entrepreneur Dennis Parnagian. Honorary doctorates are awarded on behalf of the California State University system and Fresno State in recognition of excellence and extraordinary achievement in significant areas of human endeavor that embody the CSU system’s objectives and ideals.

The U.S. Small Business Administration announced the Fresno State Women’s Entrepreneur Center as the recipient of the 2025 Women’s Business Center of Excellence for the 15-county San Joaquin Valley and Central Coast region. Women’s Business Centers are a part of the administration’s national network of resource partners, which provide free one-on-one counseling, consulting, mentoring and training to entrepreneurs.

College of Science and Mathematics — Summer Academy in STEMFor children in grades 4 through 12, this camp offers three sections:Elementary school STEM concepts: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 16 to 20, youth ages 9-11. Middle school STEM concepts: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 16 to 20, youth ages 11-14.
