Genius

Genius

Genius is a web-based knowledge platform that enables users to add insights and explanations to song lyrics, news articles, primary documents, poetry, and various other texts. Originally launched in 2009 as Rap Genius, the platform initially centered around rap music. However, in 2014, it broadened its scope to include other media types like Pop, Literature, and R&B, while also introducing features that allow users to embed annotations on different websites. That same year, Genius launched its iPhone app, and in July 2014, the site rebranded to simply Genius to align with its expanded focus. An Android app followed in August 2015.

It’s her first solo single of 2025. Last year, Kehlani released the album CRASH and the mixtape While We Wait 2, and back in May, she dropped “Think Of Me,” a bubbly dance tune made in collaboration with David Guetta, HUGEL, and Daecolm. Yesterday, Kehlani returned with “Folded,” her first proper solo single of 2025, and it’s sitting inside the Top 10 of the Genius Top Songs chart.
