Spotify is a Swedish company that offers audio streaming and media services. It was established on April 23, 2006, by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon. As one of the leading music streaming platforms, it boasts more than 456 million active users each month, with 195 million of them being paid subscribers as of September 2022. Spotify is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the name of its holding company, Spotify Technology S.A., which is based in Luxembourg City.
