The Shelby Coyotes opened the divisional tournament in style, defeating the Glasgow Scotties and the Fairview Warriors in three games each, to qualify for the State Tournament in Bozeman this weekend. The Coyotes did not fare as well in the next two matches, falling to Fairfield and then to Chinook. Thursday the Coyotes began the tourney playing Glasgow. Shelby won the first game 25-9, and followed that game with 25-16 and 25-22 wins to advance to the quarterfinals.
