Glasstire

Glasstire holds the distinction of being the oldest art magazine in the United States that operates exclusively online. Since our establishment in 2001, we have been dedicated to showcasing and promoting the visual arts across Texas, reaching audiences at local, regional, and national levels. Uniquely, Glasstire is the sole Texas publication that offers in-depth art criticism on a daily basis, serving as the authoritative journal for the state's visual art community. As a non-profit organization recognized under 501(c)(3), we receive support from various grants, including those from The Houston Endowment, The Brown Foundation, Inc., the National Endowment for the Arts, the Greater Houston Community Foundation, the City of Houston via the Houston Arts Alliance, and the Texas Commission for the Arts.

But, when a curator exists outside of an institution, their practice encompasses many things.
