    The Dallas Invitational Art Fair has announced the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth’s acquisition of two pieces from the 2025 fair. This year, the Invitational’s third fair, marks the establishment of an acquisition fund to support the museum, similar to the Dallas Art Fair’s partnership with the Dallas Museum of Art. Curator María Elena Ortiz and Assistant Curator Clare Milliken visited the fair over the weekend to select the works.

    The Tulsa Artist Fellowship (TAF), a place-based arts initiative in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has opened applications for its 2026-2028 program. Established in 2015 as a year-long residency, TAF expanded to a three-year term in 2024. Last year, Austin-based artist Rehab El Sadek was among the ten fellows selected for the 2025-2027 program. The fellowship program is open to national and local artists and arts workers of any discipline with at least five years of experience in their field.

    The Glass Art Society (GAS), a nonprofit based in Seattle, has announced the schedule for its 2025 International Conference, which will be hosted by the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and SiNaCa Studios in Fort Worth. For the first time in the annual conference’s 54-year history, the event will take place in Texas. This year’s theme, Trailblazing New Traditions, has set the event to focus on the future of glass art, with particular attention to inclusivity, sustainability, and innovation.

    The Dallas Art Fair (DAF) and the Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) have announced the seven artworks selected from the fair to join the museum’s permanent collection. Since its establishment in 2016, the Dallas Art Fair Foundation Acquisition Program has supported the annual acquisition of contemporary artworks from the fair for the DMA’s collection. Including this year’s acquisitions, which total $100,000, over the last nine years the program has funded nearly $1 million for the museum’s collection.

    Lynn Castle, the longtime Executive Director of the Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) in Beaumont, has announced her upcoming retirement. Ms. Castle has been at AMSET for nearly 40 years. She has led the institutions since 2000 and previously held various positions, including Interim Director, Curator of Exhibitions and Collections, and Registrar.
