A few dozen protestors lined the sidewalk across from Custer County District High School on Monday, demanding that junior Montana senator Tim Sheehy address his constituents directly about ongoing actions of the federal government. Sheehy, the Republican politician who unseated long-time Democratic Senator Jon Tester in last November’s election, was in Miles City for a presentation to students at CCDHS about military colleges and career paths in the U.S. Armed Forces.

With a pre-built four-stall commercial dog kennel in hand for nearly 12 months, the City of Glendive has yet to use the structure for its intended purposes and officials hope that trend will continue. In February last year, the Glendive City Council approved a budget transfer of $12,000 to cover the $9,982.84 purchase of a 12-by-16-foot kennel to use as an impound for either vicious stray dogs or dogs suspected of having rabies, or both, that the Glendive Police Department handles.

Following the closure of the Glendive Recreation Department in August last year, Sacred Heart Church officials are appealing to the city to finance some damages to the stage within the gymnasium over the last few decades. Sacred Heart Parish Finance Council member Angela Bryhn made herself available for questions to the Finance, Utilities, Property and Recreation Committee of the Glendive City Council during its meeting on Wednesday as they discussed an amount to pay the church for damages.
