The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has awarded three companies positions on a five-year $250 million contract for shoreline mapping services to aid in how NOAA monitors coastal regions. Dewberry Engineers, NV5 Geospatial and Woolpert will compete for task orders to help NOAA use geospatial collection products that are deployed in sensors onboard ground, aircraft, vessels and/or satellite-based systems.

After this week, Defense Department civilians will no longer have to submit an email list of five things they accomplished over the previous week, according to a Friday email from the Pentagon’s acting personnel chief, ending a requirement the Pentagon put in place back in March. Their last email, due Wednesday, must include one idea that will “improve the Department’s efficiency or root out waste,” according to the message from Jules Hurst.

Air Force leaders have reserved the contract for 8(a) small businesses and structured it to support the 39th Information Operations Squadron, which is charged with providing initial and advanced information operations and cyber training across the Air Force.
