The junior has been a captain of Liggett’s varsity field hockey and girls lacrosse teams and has become a standout player in both sports, and as the Knights have been experiencing an outstanding girls lacrosse season this spring, Marcero has been at the center of it all.

Paul leaves behind his wife, Steph; daughters, Caitlin Youngblood and Lauren Gunderson (Ryan); granddaughters, Samantha and Katherine Gunderson; and beloved pets, Wellington, Moose and Piggy. He also leaves behind his sister, Marilyn Dillon; brother, Gerald (Mary); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

John F. Tompkins, 72, of Grosse Pointe Park, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 8, 2025, with family by his side. Born in Detroit, to Charles and Jean Tompkins, John graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School in 1970 and Western Michigan University in 1974. While at Western he met his wife, Colleen, with whom he shared 42 wonderful years of marriage. During his years at Western, he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and served as president his senior year.
