GSCENE
Gscene Magazine was launched in 1993 as a small four-page insert in Impact Magazine, a general listings publication for Brighton and Hove. Initially named 'The Queer Guide,' the magazine later changed its title to Gscene in 1995, as Brighton was not quite ready for the term 'Q' at that time. Throughout the 1990s, Gscene actively worked to enhance services for individuals living with HIV in the area. In 1997, it played an essential role in the launch of Project Zorro, a community-driven needs assessment that shifted the focus of HIV prevention funding in Brighton and Hove.
