The Ludwigshafen plant produces renewable ammonia, which is used in industrial applications such as fertiliser production and emissions control, and also a renewable ammonia solution, which is an aqueous product containing 24.5% ammonia by weight, typically used in processes requiring diluted ammonia.

ITM Power will provide over 300MW of electrolysers to an unnamed customer in the Asia-Pacific region for a green hydrogen power plant. Backed with funding approval from the local authorities, the project remains subject to a final investment decision (FID). “We are delighted to work with our customer to advance the engineering, permitting and wider plant integration to drive this large-scale project to FID,” explained Dennis Schulz, ITM Power’s CEO.
