Harlingen Valley Morning Star
The Valley Morning Star is a newspaper that has been serving the community since 1911, located in Harlingen, Texas. In 1938, it made headlines when The New York Times covered a printer's strike at the paper, led by the Typographical Union. In 1951, Raymond C. Hoiles acquired the newspaper. Later, in 2012, AIM Media Texas purchased Freedom Communications' newspapers in Texas, including The Valley Morning Star.
