Hollywood in Toto

HiT is a unique entertainment news platform tailored for conservatives, dedicated to upholding and promoting pro-freedom values. I’m Christian Toto, a seasoned journalist, film critic, and podcaster with over two decades of experience in covering Hollywood. As a certified Rotten Tomatoes reviewer, I’m also a proud member of the Critics’ Choice Association and the Denver Film Critics Society. Above all, I’m passionate about movies. However, I’m frustrated by how often Hollywood and the media criticize people like us—conservatives. After years in the industry, I’ve noticed a significant bias in entertainment coverage leaning predominantly to the left, which seems to be intensifying. This realization inspired me to launch Hollywood in Toto—to create a platform where conservatives can find the latest news and reviews without facing disrespect. In essence, this site is here to support you. HiT also celebrates when Hollywood gets it right—whether it's stars giving back, films that honor freedom and liberty, or actors advocating for worthy causes. Looking for more insights? Our talented contributors, including Barry Wurst, Carl Kozlowski, Brad Slager, John A. Daly, and author C.S. Johnson, bring additional expertise and value to our readers.

HBO’s Bill Maher is trying to stop his party from rushing off an electoral cliff. So far, it’s not working. The old-school liberal has been warning the Left about its woke embrace for several years. More recently, he’s called out Democrats for refusing to engage with their political foes. He practices what he preaches. He’s invited several high-profile conservatives on “Real Time with Bill Maher” as well as his “Club Random” podcast.

“Storytelling and fighting aren’t so different. Both are about conflict, struggle, and heart.”So says actor and MMA alum Michael Bisping in a press release about his new project, Punch It Films. The studio, set to launch at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, promises efficient movie making with style (and fisticuffs).

You might do a double take during “Clown in a Cornfield’s” prologue. We watch a pair of randy teens prepare to “get it on” when a murderous clown interrupts their plans. Is this 2025 or 1985? “Clown in a Cornfield” offers some nods to slasher-film tropes, delivering a few yuks along the way. It’s not as committed to the bit as expected. That leaves a credible shocker with a likable lead and, of course, a killer clown. Some formulas are bulletproof for a reason. Right, Art?

The 2024 film “The Apprentice” focused on Donald Trump’s rise to power in the ’80s. The project earned oodles of unpaid media attention, two Oscar nominations and the scorn of Team Trump. THE APPRENTICE - International Trailer - Starring Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Strong & Maria BakalovaAll that publicity led to an embarrassing $4 million stateside haul and a global take of just $17 million. That’s a box office dud. Period. Now, a film producer wants to revisit Trump’s life.

Vince Vaughn’s motor-mouth routine made him a star. He left that shtick behind in recent years, witness atypical turns in “Arkansas,” “Brawl in Cell Block 99” and “Freaky.”Now, he’s targeting our heart strings in “Nonnas,” a Netflix original with a PG rating. Really. Turns out he’s perfectly suited for this tale of a broken-hearted son eager to make his late momma proud. You might wince a few times, but Vaughn’s assured presence keeps the story afloat.
