We have known for nearly a month that Monday night’s 2025 NBA Draft Lottery had no bearing on the Miami Heat, who became the first team in NBA History to escape the play-in as the No. 10 seed. Miami was still mercifully swept out of the postseason, nowhere to be seen again for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. And for good reason.

This will be a pivotal offseason for the Miami Heat, who are coming off arguably since the Big 3, finishing 37-45. Obviously, a lot of us say a lot about our thoughts on the organization, whether it’s the players, coaches, front office, etc. As a man of integrity, I believe in holding myself accountable–and I was admittedly wrong a lot this year. Accountability in this industry is lacking, but that’s a conversation for another day. I don’t care about being wrong as much as I care about being honest and objective.
