Interior Journal

Interior Journal

Established: The Interior Journal is among the earliest newspapers in Kentucky, focusing on the central regions of the state, which is how it got its name. It has been published at its current location since the 1890s. Over its 150 years, it has changed hands several times, with Schurz Communications becoming the eighth owner. The Walton family held ownership for the majority of its history, contributing three generations of editors over an 80-year period. In early 2016, Boone Newspapers, Inc. became the new owner of the publication.
