A total of 10 tourism companies from Ireland joined Tourism Ireland in Texas this week to promote the island as the ideal destination for corporate meetings and incentive travel. The ‘Meet in Ireland’ showcase visited Dallas and Houston and involved B2B events in each city, where the tourism companies from Ireland – all specialists in Business Events – connected with over 30 US meeting and event planners.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has announced its backing of the Reef Protection Factor and new reef safe sunscreen – Coral Care. TAT hosted a sunscreen swap recently on Ao Nang Beach in Krabi to raise awareness of protecting Thailand’s marine life and this month TAT is hosting another green event – Amazing Krabi Green Fest 2025 – on Noppharat Thara Beach, part of the Phi Phi National Park.

The most significant capital investment plans for Cork Airport in nearly a quarter of a century were officially launched by An Taoiseach, Micheál Martin today. Airport operator daa has confirmed it is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050 and is working with its airline customers and supply chain partners to reduce Scope 3 emissions. At the start of 2024, daa unveiled details of 20 sustainable environmental initiatives being rolled out at Dublin and Cork airports. These projects have accelerated both airports’ climate and sustainability-related ambitions, which will ultimately result in achieving that net zero commitment.
