Since its establishment over fifty years ago, EASL has evolved from a small group that welcomed just 70 attendees at its inaugural meeting to the premier liver association in Europe. EASL draws top hepatology specialists as members and has a strong history of advancing research in liver diseases. It also focuses on enhancing education and influencing liver policy across Europe.
