KDND-FM (Sacramento, CA)

KDND was an FM radio station based in Sacramento, California. It originally launched in the 1940s under the name KXOA-FM, serving as an FM counterpart to AM station KXOA. Over time, it developed its own identity, offering a variety of programming with a focus on soft rock and classic hits. In July 1998, after being sold to Entercom, the station adopted its final KDND call sign and transitioned to a Top 40/CHR format, rebranding itself as 107.9 The End. At the time it ceased operations, KDND's studios were situated in North Highlands, although they used a Sacramento address, while its transmitter was positioned just north of Sacramento's city limits near Elverta.
