Temporary Closures Coming to Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls

Two stretches of traffic on Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls will be disrupted for a few hours later this month. The South Dakota Department of Transportation says in order for crews to work on sign structures along the interstate, a pair of overnight closures will be put into effect. The first will take place Tuesday (February 25, 2025), when the northbound lanes of I-229 will be closed between Louise Avenue and Western Avenue from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Wednesday (February 26).
