    CRATER LAKE NP - The 2024 Crater Lake Rim Runs organizers have canceled the event. It was scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, August 10, 2024. This decision was made due to concerns about the health and safety of participants amid heavy wildfire smoke. The event, held annually at Crater Lake National Park in northwest Klamath County, includes a marathon and runs of 13 miles and 6.7 miles along the scenic Rim Drive around Crater Lake.

    KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - On August 8th, 2024, at approximately 10:03 a.m., patrol officers from the Klamath Falls Police Department responded to 3201 Quarry Street regarding a welfare check on the resident following a a third-party report that the resident had been shot. “Officers arrived at the location and found the resident deceased,” said KFPD Captain Rob Reynolds via a press release. The Klamath County Major Crime Team was activated and is currently investigating this incident.

    Klamath County's biggest summer event continues at the Fairgrounds. KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –On Friday, thousands braved the threatening weather and found a day full of entertainment, exhibits, projects, and family fun. All year, 4-H and FFA students work on animal projects to achieve their dream of making the Championship Drive and winning top honors. Yesterday, eight youths were granted the ultimate title of Champion and Reserve Champion.
