The dog days of summer are quickly ending, but there is one more major event before we can turn the page on the season. It is time for the 73rd annual Tulelake Butte Valley Fair, Sept. 5-8, 2024. This year’s four-day fair will take over Tulelake, Calif., with chart-topping and iconic music, motorsport carnage, carnival thrills, parade pleasure, and the excitement of youth showmanship and market projects.

The 2024 Klamath County Fair was exciting for exhibitors and visitors alike. The four-day celebration included award-winning music, motorsport mayhem, carnival thrills, and livestock showcases. When the dust settled, sixteen youth market animals were crowned either Grand or Reserve Champion, while eleven took home the title of Premier Exhibitor.

CRATER LAKE NP - The 2024 Crater Lake Rim Runs organizers have canceled the event. It was scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, August 10, 2024. This decision was made due to concerns about the health and safety of participants amid heavy wildfire smoke. The event, held annually at Crater Lake National Park in northwest Klamath County, includes a marathon and runs of 13 miles and 6.7 miles along the scenic Rim Drive around Crater Lake.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - On August 8th, 2024, at approximately 10:03 a.m., patrol officers from the Klamath Falls Police Department responded to 3201 Quarry Street regarding a welfare check on the resident following a a third-party report that the resident had been shot. “Officers arrived at the location and found the resident deceased,” said KFPD Captain Rob Reynolds via a press release. The Klamath County Major Crime Team was activated and is currently investigating this incident.
