From Ian Begley:Knicks are releaving Tom Thibodeau of his duties, per league sources. Organization singular focused on winning title, feels new voice is needed. Team president Leon Rose made decision with support of owner James Dolan. Well now. That’s fucking bold as fuck by Leon Rose. No matter what else you think about Leon Rose, that dude has gone from being the most risk-averse dude in the business to the guy who just takes big swings like crazy.

Most of the lessons of Revenge of the Nerds are actually kind of fucked up, but there’s at least one point in the film that has a fair lesson for the New York Knicks. The part where they fix up their shitty frat house to the tune of “One Foot in Front of the Other” by Bone Symphony. The Knicks just have to put one foot in front of the other. Simply win Game 5, then worry about Game 6 and 7 on Saturday. As I’ve been saying all postseason, 1. Just being at the table gives you a chance.

The Knicks got the first game of the pair of games that they needed to win to make this beyond just A series, but a series that they would be primed to win, and tonight is the other pair that they need. Aaron Nesmith is playing, but you have to believe he won’t be at the top of his game. Injury luck going AGAINST the Pacers? Is that even allowed? So the Knicks need to make a statement here.

The Knicks head to Indiana where they pretty much have to make a stand, hence the title of this post. Six teams have made 0-2 comebacks, so it CAN be done, but it has to start now. 8 more wins to go!The Dylan tune is “They Killed Him,” a super-cheesy song from Knocked Out Loaded.

As you might have heard, the New York Knicks had a bit of a difficult time with the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of this series, having one of the worst collapses in NBA playoff history. Luckily, a fun thing about sports is that you get to go back and play another one two days later, and while a Knicks win tonight wouldn’t make the Game 1 loss feel any better, it would certainly make the series feel a whole lot better.
