KNOX (1310 AM), also known as "News Radio 1310 & 107.9 KNOX," is a radio station that delivers a news and talk format to listeners in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Phase 1 will involve work in the medians along 24th Avenue South. This will impact left hand turns in the work area. Phase 2 will be the reconstruction of the west bound lanes. During phase 2, 24th Avenue South will be closed to west bound traffic. East bound traffic will be open.

Kelly Armstrong appointed a Minot attorney to a judgeship in the North Central Judicial District covering Burke, Mountrail and Ward counties. The appointment of Steven Lautt is effective Aug. 4. The judgeship is chambered in Minot. Lautt, a Minot native, has been with the Minot law firm of Pringle and Herigstad since 2012.

(KNOX) – Grand Forks Fire Chief Gary Lorenz has been recommended as the new Fargo fire chief. A selection committee will recommend Lorenz. Lorenz was among three finalists for the job. Lorenz spent 28 years with the Fargo fire department before he was hired in grand forks in 2018. The city commission will consider the recommendation on Monday.

(File image)(KNOX) -Former state Senator Ray Holmberg of Grand Forks has been transferred to the federal medical center prison in Rochester, Minnesota. The 81-year-old is serving a 10-year prison term for traveling to Prague in the Czech Republic to have sex with underage boys 14 times between 2011 and 2021. Holmberg pleaded guilty and was sentenced in u-s district court in Fargo in late march. Holmberg was in the Sherburne county jail near the twin cities prior to and after he was sentenced.
