On Thursday, 44-year old Santos Tellez Mojica was detained and arrested during a traffic stop in Grant County. Tellez-Mojica was under investigation for suspicion of moving illegal drugs into and through Grant County. Because of drug evidence seen in the vehicle during the traffic stop, investigators were granted a search warrant to search the suspected drug dealer's home and property.

I've seen them at various trade shows and thought, "What the heck?" But, no, honestly, it's a "hard NO!" for me. I did purchase a bag, and watched my co-worker try them. He loved them. After a quick search online, I see that there is, indeed, a market for edible insects and chocolate covered insects. You can also get them on Amazon. They're supposed to be a great source ofprotein. I am totally surprised at all the options available.

Summer is just around the corner and people are making reservations to spend their much anticipated vacations at their favorite lake. Growing up in Minnesota, almost every weekend was spent at our family cabin on a pretty popular lake. Ya know, Minnesota is the Land of 10,000 lakes, right? We spent so many hours fishing, water skiing, and swimming in the lake. Most of my Minnesota memories involve fun on many beautiful great lakes.

At about 4 am Thursday, Officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Orchard Hills Apartments, at 1845 Leslie Road. Moments later, several more calls were made to 911 reporting that a residence was struck in the drive-by shooting. Richland Police Officers arrived and quickly located numerous shell casings in the parking lot outside the location, as well as multiple bullet holes that struck the apartments and a nearby residence, as well. Inside, Richland officers located the injured child.

The Richland Parks and Public Facilities Department is excited to offer a series of public park tours to the community. It's called "52 in '25" and kicked off at Badger Mountain Trailhead in January of this year. richlandparksandrec.comThe 52 in ’25 series is the brainchild of Parks & Public Facilities Director Chris Waite, who will lead most of these free tours.
