KUSC-FM (Los Angeles, CA)

KUSC (91.5 MHz FM) is a classical music radio station that relies on listener support and is located in downtown Los Angeles, California, USA. This station is owned and run by the University of Southern California, which also manages the student-operated Internet station KXSC (AM) and the classical station KDFC in San Francisco. KUSC holds the distinction of being the largest non-profit classical music station in the United States and is the sole classical station serving the Greater Los Angeles Area. In February 2014, KCRW, a public radio station based in Santa Monica, announced its plans to acquire the classical station KDB (FM) 93.7 in Santa Barbara from the Santa Barbara Foundation for $1 million. This deal allows KCRW to utilize KQSC, USC's existing repeater station in Santa Barbara, to broadcast its programming, while KUSC's classical content will be moved to KDB, ensuring that KDB continues its legacy as Santa Barbara's classical station. The original KDB call letters will remain in use.
