A massive pile of rubble marks the spot where a 5-story building stood just the night before, after Russia struck Kyiv again on the night of June 22. Hours after sirens sounded the end of the air raid, emergency workers pulled a 7th person’s remains out of the rubble that stands meters high and could still hold more bodies. At least 7 civilians were killed in the early morning barrage on the capital, and dozens more were injured.
