It is well documented how difficult farming can be. To be honest, the word difficult doesn’t seem like it truly accurately describes what farmers face. Battling the weather, which they can’t control, is one of the biggest challenges they face. How much things cost is another major aspect of farming which can add stress to farmers. Everything from what they feed their animals if they have any, to what they use to grow what they grow is costing them more.

I don’t want to wish the summer away, because I truly enjoy it. But it’s not my favorite season, that would FOOTBALL SEASON BABY! (Sorry, I didn’t mean to scream). I have a saying that GOD put football season where he did so we could get over the fact that summer was gone. For many fans, as much fun as the summer brings us, as I wrote last week, we’re quietly counting down to football season.

Earlier this month, my wife and I went on a cruise with my granddaughter and her mother. We were celebrating my granddaughter’s graduation from high school. This was their first cruise and the second for my wife and I, we went on one 23 years ago. We sort of knew what to expect, but it had been so long there were aspects of being on a cruise ship that we had forgotten.

ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- A Holdingford man charged with murder involving the fatal overdose of another man has pleaded guilty. In a court appearance Wednesday, 32-year-old Cody Johannes pleaded guilty to one count of 3rd-degree murder. According to the criminal complaint filed in Stearns County District Court, Johannes sold the victim methamphetamine and fentanyl on November 17, 2024. The victim's body was found two days later after his brother called St. Cloud Police for a welfare check.

ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The founder of a St. Cloud non-profit focusing on youth has pleaded guilty in connection with an illegal gun sale. Thirty-eight-year-old Lenora Hunt, who started the Too Much Talent organization, has pleaded guilty to a gross misdemeanor charge of unlawfully transferring a pistol. Court records allege Hunt sold a handgun to a suspected drug dealer.
