Dean Henderson, who explained a record-breaking 2,861 people attended this year’s event. He said every year the derby grows by about 100 to 150 attendees, and over the weekend, there were people there from across Western Canada and even as far away as Arizona.

Police received a report of missing 19-year-old Seth Newman on March 18 However, he was last in contact with loved ones approximately one month ago and was reportedly seen on Brown Street in La Ronge in mid-February. Newman is described as 6’1″ with green eyes and short brown hair.

They ended the season with 53 points, which included 24 wins, 27 losses, three overtime losses and two shootout losses. The remaining three teams to also not earn a spot in the playoffs are the Estevan Bruins, Nipawin Hawks, and Notre Dame Hounds.
